Rock the Gear Review Guidelines
*To submit a review you must be a registered member of Rock the Gear. Please submit all reviews to:
1. All gear reviews will be approved and edited by the RTG team before they are posted publicly. If we deem a review to be useless or offensive, we WILL delete the submission and it will never be published.
2. Your review text must include 3 things:
a) A rating from 1-10 (1 being useless and 10 being perfect) on the overall protection effectiveness, comfort, style, and function of the item being reviewed.
b) A description for each of the following: protection effectiveness, comfort, style, and function.
Protection effectiveness - armor, security, zipper/buckle strength, abrasion resistance, etc....
Comfort - how does it feel new, before the ride, during the ride, after the ride, after MANY rides?
Style - how does it look on the rack, on your body, in pictures, while riding, etc.... is it cut to fit correctly?
Function - pockets, waterproofing, liner, wind resistance, breathability, etc..... does it do what it promised, does it do what you bought it for?
c) A description of what kind of riding the item has been used for, how long you have used it, how long you plan on keeping it or how quickly you plan on getting rid of it, and why you purchased the item to begin with.
3. IF YOU CRASHED in the item you are reviewing, please include a description of how the item PERFORMED in its role of PROTECTING you from injury.
4. Please include any pictures you have of the item that you give permission to be used publicly on the site. If you do not have pictures, please find a stock photo from a manufacturer or distributor to send.
